FAQ

Who may apply for camp?

Students entering  7th, 8th, 9th or 10th grade for the upcoming school year are invited to apply for camp.*

* UT Dallas is Title IX compliant. The target population for the Women in Physics camp are girls as females are an underrepresented population in physics. However, any students, male or female, who choose to apply will be given equal consideration. 

When are applications due?

All application materials are due APRIL 14, 2024. See the application page for more details. 

When is camp?

This year, Beginner Camp camp is June 9 through June 13, 2024. Camp meets on the UTD campus Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 

On the last Friday of camp, we will have an end-of-camp ice cream party at 3:00 pm for campers and their family.

Advanced Camp, for those who have attended Beginner camp before, meets the week before Beginner Camp, June 2-6. 

How much does camp cost?

There is no tuition* cost to attend camp! Funding is provided by the UTD Science and Math Education Department and DONATIONS! Due to this, we can only accept a limited number of participants! See more information on our application page!
  * There is a small fee to cover the camp t-shirt and lunch in the UTD cafeteria one day. If this fee is an issue, please contact us. 

How may I donate to camp?

Please see our Donations page for information on donating to camp. Please note that donations will not affect the application process. 

Where is camp?

Camp is held on the University of Texas at Dallas campus, Founders North building, located in Richardson, Texas.
